Get familiar with Installation

 
 

The first thing you need to do is to make sure JDK is installed properly in your system. if you already installed then make sure your software is running properly by typing java -version in command prompt, after typing that press enter then you will see something like below

         java version "1.8.0_101"
         Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_101-b13)
         Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.101-b13, mixed mode)
  

If you see something like above(forget about version number it may vary based on updates) then you are on a right track and you can start writing programmes, if not plaese make sure the setting environment variables path.

If you don't have JDK installed in your system please follow these steps:

  1. Open Link to Download the software
  2. Run the downloaded installer, which installs both the JDK and JRE. By default, the JDK will be installed in directory "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_102".
  3. Now we need to provide the path for JDK bin.
  4. To edit the PATH environment variables follow these steps:

       
                1) Go to "System" and Click on "Advanced system settings" tab.
                2) Switch to "Advanced" tab and go to "Environment Variables" tab.
                3) After entering into environment variables tab follow below guidelines.
    	    4) under System Variables tab select PATH and click edit, for that go to bin folder in JDK and copy the while path until bin.
    	    5) under Variable Value keep JDK bin folder path(the one you copied in step 4) and click ok , ok & ok.
    
  5. Now if you type java -version , you must see like this
  6.          java version "1.8.0_101"
             Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_101-b13)
             Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.101-b13, mixed mode)
      

You can use either of following tools to write java code:

  1. Net Beans
  2. Eclipse
  3. Notepad++
  4. Notepad(Inbuilt to all OS, you don't need to install)
